"For I know the thoughts I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."  Jeremiah 29:11

Each volunteer has a strong desire to impact the lives of children.  We believe that each volunteer is a unique individual with special God given talents.  It is our desire to see them grow in their relationship with God and others.  We want to help each person to fulfill their call from God.

Each volunteer goes through an application process that includes references, interviews and back ground checks.

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." Ephesians 3:20

In 2003 God began to stir my heart about a camp for kids and animals.  Being a camp and outdoor school counselor, loving God's creation,  camping with family and friends, being on the children's ministry team at church have all been ways the Lord prepared me/us for such a time as this.

Since then God has connected me with people that have the same vision to see children and youth, enjoy their growing years in a safe place and to be introduced to the love of God by caring adults and gentle animals.  To find hope and healing through a relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ.

The preparation for the PA Youth Ranch culminated in a trip for myself and Theresa Snyder to Bend, Oregon to the Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch where Kim & Troy Meeder and their staff minister to abused and neglected horses and children.  Kim is the author of "Hope Rising" and "Bridge Called Hope", they have been featured on "Focus on the Family" with Dr. James Dobson.  The Crystal Peaks staff provided the encouragement and practical information we needed, to help us to proceed with the vision for the PA Youth Ranch.  They continue to mentor us through their "Similar Ministries".
